Leadership: Contributed to backend platform architecture and engineering delivery on a distributed microservices stack on AWS — coordinating with cross-functional product, infrastructure, and compliance teams across multiple time zones.

Retail Operations Platform (Shoprite)
Context: Africa’s largest retailer required robust, containerised back-office and supply-chain engineering capable of operating across thousands of stores with high throughput and near-zero downtime tolerance.
Leadership: Led backend engineering on containerised .NET services orchestrated with Kubernetes and Docker — driving performance optimisation, reliability improvements, and CI/CD maturity across the delivery pipeline.
Outcome: Achieved significant reduction in deployment lead time, improved system reliability for mission-critical inventory and supply-chain workflows, and established engineering practices adopted across the wider platform team.
